Long description: Butia capitata, also known as Jelly Palm or Pindo Palm Tree is a gourgous feather palm, native to Argentina. The slivery green pinnate leaves can grow up to 1.5-2 meter long. The Pindo Palm forms a grayish trunk and forms an arching crown with leaves bending towards the ground.
Butia capitata is a drought tolerant palm tree, ands is cold resistant to -5ºC. The fruits of this palm are used to make Jelly from, hence the name: Jelly Palm.
