Long description: Caesalpinia spinosa, also known as Caesalpinia tinctoria has been named after the Italian botanic Andrea Caesalpini (1524-1603). Caesalpinia bares conspicuous yellowish orange flowers in erect spikes of about 15-20 cm long. The flowers are followed by Reddish orange seed pods. The leafs and trunk are filled with razersharp spines.
