Long description: Sophora microphylla is a spectacular, semi-evergreen, spreading tree in spring when it bursts into deep yellow flower. The hanging clusters of deep yellow flowers are are a real eye-catcher! The foliage of Kowhai consists of elegant dark green leaves, which are composed of numerous pairs of tiny, oblong leaflets, arranged in opposing position.
